Payments

How payments work

Once an order has been delivered and accepted: the Seller issues an invoice to the Buyer; the Buyer pays according to the agreed payment terms; the Seller confirms receipt of the payment within Startpit; and the order payment process is completed.

Each Seller defines its own commercial payment terms. Depending on the Seller's Special conditions, payment may be required before dispatch (prepayment) or within credit days (business days) after delivery. The applicable payment terms are displayed during the ordering process.

If payment is delayed, Startpit helps both parties manage the situation using payment statuses and notifications. Once the Buyer has paid, the Seller confirms it. If payment is not received by the agreed due date, the order is highlighted in red and the Seller can assign the Payment Late status to the Buyer.

The Payment Late status indicates the outstanding invoice has not been paid on time and restricts the Buyer's access to the system until the outstanding balance is settled. The Buyer should pay as soon as possible and inform the Seller.
