Exact match behaviour: when the Exact match button is On, only 100% matches are displayed; when Off, exact matches are shown first, followed by partial matches (fragments) and cross-references (replacements).
Search result priority:
- Part numbers (OE/AM) — the engine is primarily optimized for part numbers, for exact or partial matches. Type a single query or upload a bulk list of up to 1,500 items. Example: 01012
- Manufacturer and/or part name (up to 10 words) — works best when the part name is entered exactly as in our database. Synonyms, typos or missing words return approximate results. Example: VAG Deflection Pulley/Guide Pulley, timing belt
- Vehicle details and categories (up to 10 words) — car model, modification, year, item category, sub-category and item name. Lower probability of an exact hit because all terms must approximately match; avoid this method if possible. Example: BMW E81 118i Braking System Disc Brake
